Developing the children’s capacity to think “out of the box”, to be more aware of ideas and issues
in the world around them, and to develop their confidence in themselves and their opinions
Appreciation of literature, philosophy and other “humanities” subjects Developing an awareness of society around
them by including social, ethical, and philosophical issues as pertain to various age groups of children
Discussion and counseling about issues that pertain to the lives of our
students eg emotional problems and issues that affect children at various stages of their lives. This would include informal
individual and group counseling
Allowing the children to suggest topics,
ideas, issues which interest them for discussion, so that the class becomes of significant interest to the children themselves
